• When You Visit With Us, You Will Find... An independent congregation of warm and friendly folks who are simply Christians, i.e. believers who have been baptized into Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) and who are committed to living by faith in Christ (Gal. 2:20; 2 Cor. 5:7), seeking always to be pleasing to Him as our head (Eph. 1:22), and who are interested in your spiritual well-being. A Bible study program conducted for all age groups. That which is taught is the Bible. The teaching of crafts and games has its’ place, but not during Bible study sessions. If you want to study the Bible and want your children to study the Bible, come and investigate.

• A worship service that is simple in format as was true in New Testament days. There is no great pomp and ceremony calculated to intrigue the audience. Worshippers are encouraged to worship God from the heart in acts of worship that are according to truth (John 4:24). There is congregational singing unhampered by instrumental accompaniment (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16; I Cor. 14:15), prayer (Phil. 4:6; Acts 2:42), communing with the Lord in His supper every first day of the week (Acts 20:7; I Cor. 10:16; 11:23-29) and giving of one’s means according to his prosperity and as he has purposed in his heart, and that only on the first day of the week (I Cor. 16:1-2; 2 Cor. 9:6-7). We support our work and do not seek contributions from those who are not members.

• Preaching that is truly Bible centered. Appeal is made for book, chapter and verse in support of truth advanced.

• Work engaged in by the congregation that is authorized in the New Testament. The work of the church in New Testament times consisted of preaching the gospel to the lost (Phil. 1:5; 4:15-16; I Thess. 1:8), edifying the saved (I Thess. 5:11; Acts 18:23) and caring for its needy (Acts 6:1-4; 11:28-30; Rom. 15:26-31). Consequently we do not promote recreation, entertainment, or fun and games as a work of the church. While these are good within themselves, they are not the responsibility of the church of the Lord, but of the home and family. Funds of the Lord’s church are expended on work authorized by the Lord for His church.

• In organization we are content to be a locally autonomous body consisting of saints (members) overseen by bishops (elders) and served by deacons (Phil. 1:1; I Tim. 3:1-11; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 14:23). Since Christ is our only head (Eph. 1:22-23), we are part of no larger organization and seek affiliation with none. Thus we have no earthly head nor headquarters and are joined to other congregations only by the bonds of love.

• A wholesome respect for the inspired word of God and the conviction that the Bible is the Sole and Complete Authority In The Religion Of Christ (I Pet. 4:11; Phil. 3:16). Because we accept the word of God as an all-sufficient rule of faith and practice, you can expect us to reject all human creeds (Gal. 1:8-9; Rev. 2:18-19).
